Just a lazy Sunday

So following up about INGRES yesterday. I managed to get a wicked sunburn. Also going so much further than I usually do in the day has caused most of the joints in my arms to be really sore. So it's a nice easy day of doing dishes, reading, and staying out of the sun. 

Currently I'm in the midst of a novel called RoboGenesis. It's the sequel to Robopocalypse, a very aptly named series of books if there ever was one. Beyond the normal tropes of the robot apocalypse I actually really enjoy how it's written.

The first person narrative flows very well and uniquely for each character's perspective. Also there's a switch between perspectives of each chapter which has allowed the author to tell stories that are going on in three different places and still show the interconnectedness of the overall world plot even while the characters are dealing with his, her, or its own immediate individual problems.

So if you like serious apocalyptic thrillers this is a series I would definitely suggest.
